About Us

IndoorCatHub is an independent editorial site focused on cat furniture, toys and indoor enrichment for cats living in apartments, studio apartments, condos and rentals. We look at products through the realities of smaller homes, where floor space, vertical space, noise, installation and renter-friendly design can matter as much as the product itself.

Who this site is for

IndoorCatHub is for people whose cats live entirely indoors, especially in apartments, studio apartments, condos and rentals where space is limited and permanent changes may not be practical. We focus on the everyday constraints that matter in smaller homes: what fits without crowding the room, what uses vertical space well, what stays reasonably quiet through shared walls, what can be installed without unnecessary damage, and what can be removed cleanly when you move.

What we cover, and what we don’t

We cover space-saving cat trees, interactive and automated toys, aesthetic and hidden scratchers, window and door enrichment, and puzzle and foraging toys — always with apartments, studio apartments, condos and rentals in mind.

We do not cover food, diets, supplements, veterinary medicine, disease, breeding, breed guides or dogs. Those subjects require different expertise and are outside the scope of IndoorCatHub. If your cat needs medical or behavioral help, please speak to a qualified veterinarian.

How we assess products

We assess products through a small-home lens rather than judging them only by appearance, popularity or brand name.

Where we have a sound basis to score a product, we evaluate individual criteria such as footprint, vertical-space efficiency, stability, noise, installation, renter suitability, cleaning, durability, cat engagement and value.

We do not calculate an overall score, average score or star rating. If we do not have enough reliable information to judge a criterion, we leave it unscored rather than guess.

What our assessments rest on

Different assessments rest on different kinds of evidence, and we think you should be able to tell which is which:

  • Manufacturer information — specifications published by the maker, which we have not independently confirmed.
  • Independent research — third-party sources we can name and link to.
  • Aggregated customer feedback— patterns we observe across published owner feedback, described as exactly that.
  • Genuine first-hand testing — only where we have actually used the product and have notes to support what we say.

We never describe research, manufacturer information or customer feedback as though it were our own hands-on experience.

How IndoorCatHub is funded

Some links on IndoorCatHub may be affiliate links. When a link is affiliate, we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not determine what we recommend or how we assess a product. When a commercial relationship applies to a recommendation, we aim to disclose it clearly near that recommendation rather than relying only on a general disclosure page.

Who is behind IndoorCatHub

IndoorCatHub is independently owned and edited. The site researches cat furniture, toys and enrichment for cats living in apartments, studio apartments, condos and rentals. Our work combines manufacturer specifications, independent research and patterns found across published owner experiences, with first-hand testing identified separately whenever it actually takes place.

We aim to make it clear what each assessment is based on, and we do not present research or customer feedback as though it were our own hands-on experience.
